Beach HouseGlass and Bead Studio
As far back as I can remember, i have always been fascinated with the different aspects of glass. I love the movement in a sheet of art glass, as well as, that in hot molten glass. I have worked in the stained glass field for more than 35 years owning and operating a full stained glass studio. i organized and formed the Association of Stained Glass Lamp Artists, Northeast in 1993 and served, as its President until 2007. ASGLA, NE in a non-profit organizationfored for "the education, perpetuation, improvement and the promotion of the art of stained glass.
I first became interested in lampwork beadsin the mid 90's after watching Cindy Jenkins do a demo at one of our stained glass conventions. I was intrigued! My first class was with Cindy Jenkins in 1995. I've also studied under Liliana Glenn from 2003 thru 2008 and Nancy Tobey in 2007.
Every day working with glass is an exciting learning experience. For the past few yearsI've been able to really enjoy refining my skills and techniques. It's so interesting watching the glass move and the wonderful effectsthat it sometimes makes just putting two colors together. The real reward, however, is when someone else loves what you've made as much as you do.
